Meet Nicole
LCSW-C
Licensed Clinical Social Worker:
Nicole Major is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has spent the past six years working at a local child advocacy center, supporting children and families impacted by abuse and trauma. She has training in perinatal mental health and PMADs (perinatal mood and anxiety disorders), as well as trauma, attachment, LGBTQIA+ issues, anxiety, depression, and more. Nicole is passionate about making perinatal mental health care more accessible and supporting moms through all the highs, lows, and changes that come with motherhood. She knows that while motherhood can be incredibly rewarding, it can also feel overwhelming at times, and she believes no one should have to navigate it alone.
Nicole takes a client-centered, trauma-informed approach to therapy, with a focus on helping clients feel safe, supported, and understood. She believes that feeling comfortable and building trust are important parts of the healing process. Nicole works alongside her clients to help them build coping skills, process difficult experiences, and feel more confident navigating life’s challenges at their own pace. She is excited and honored to be part of the Milky Moms team and to work with a group so dedicated to supporting moms in the community.
Outside of work, Nicole loves spending time with her wife and daughter, traveling, and spending as much time at the beach as possible! She loves making memories with her family and soaking up the little moments that make life special.
